All Cases of Transporting Radioactive Sources Must Have a Person in Charge of Incident Response
According to Clause 1, Article 13 of Decree 142/2020/ND-CP (Effective from February 1, 2021), carriers of radioactive sources must ensure the following requirements:
- In the case of road or rail transport (excluding exemption packages): The vehicle operator must have a Radiation Safety Training Certificate or be accompanied by an escort with this certificate;
- In the case of transporting radioactive sources of Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3 according to QCVN 06:2010/BKHCN: There must be a person in charge of incident response holding a Radiation Worker Certificate.
*** Not all cases of transporting radioactive sources are required to have a person in charge of incident response.
