- Implement drastically and effectively the objectives, tasks and solutions in the fields, contributing to the mobilization, allocation and effective use of resources for economic recovery and development, prevention and control, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, epidemics, climate change, ensure national defense, security and social security according to the goals, requirements and tasks set out in the Government's Master Program on thrift practices and anti-waste in 2022.

Pursuant to Subsection II, Section A of the Action program on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2022 issued together with Decision 2538/QD-UBND by Ho Chi Minh City stipulating as follows:

- The program to practice thrift and fight against waste must be substantive, close to practical conditions, have specific results, create stronger and more positive changes; at the same time, it is necessary to set out specific and clear tasks and measures to strengthen thrift practice and combat waste in the fields within the scope of regulation of the Law on thrift practice and waste prevention. Follow up, summarize and report as required.

- The practice of thrift and anti-waste must adhere to the guidelines and orientations of the Party and State; identifying thrift and anti-waste practice is a key task of all levels, branches and localities associated with the responsibility of the head and must be implemented synchronously, comprehensively, and cohesively across sectors, anti-corruption activities, inspection, examination, audit, administrative reform, organizational arrangement of the political system.

- Well organize the study, fully and timely, and strictly implement the Law on thrift practice and waste prevention. Practicing thrift and fighting waste must be identified as a regular task of all levels, sectors, businesses and people with the participation of all officials, public servants, public employees and employees.

What are key tasks of the action program to practice thrift and combat waste in in Ho Chi Minh City?

Pursuant to Subsection III, Section A of the Action program on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2022 issued together with Decision 2538/QD-UBND by Ho Chi Minh City stipulating as follows:

The development and implementation of the World Economic and CLP Program in 2022 is an important factor in creating resources to contribute to overcoming the consequences of epidemics, natural disasters, climate change, creating momentum for economic recovery and development of the city, ensuring the completion of the socio-economic development plan in 2022. Therefore, the work of thrift practice and waste prevention needs to focus on a number of key tasks as follows:

- Effectively implement the main tasks and solutions in the fields to restore and develop the economy, strive for the highest realization of the socio-economic development goals and tasks approved by the National Assembly and the City proposed.

- Continue to thoroughly grasp the principles of publicity and transparency and thoroughly require thrift and fight against waste in the implementation of tasks, projects and schemes. Strictly comply with the state budget estimates approved by competent agencies.

- Strengthen the management of public investment capital, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital plans in association with effective use of public investment capital to contribute to promoting the construction and improvement of socio-economic infrastructure to attract other sources of social investment capital.

- Continue to implement the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets and documents detailing the implementation of the Law, contributing to strict management, thrifty use, effective exploitation of public property, development of mobilize resources for asset regeneration and socio-economic development.

- Fight waste in the management and use of natural resources. Strengthen the management of mineral exploration, extraction, processing and use according to the provisions of the Mineral Law, in accordance with the actual scale and investment efficiency.

- Promote the application of science, technology and innovation according to international standards. Accelerate restructuring, equitization and divestment; improve the efficiency of state capital investment in enterprises.

- Raise the awareness of all levels, branches, officials, civil servants and public employees in directing, operating and organizing the implementation of targets and solutions on thrift practice and waste prevention. Strengthening the dissemination and propaganda work as well as the inspection and examination of thrift practice and waste prevention in order to create a clear change in awareness and organization of implementation in agencies and units.
