Load Forecast for Next Month's Electricity Market Operation Planning
In Article 31 of Circular 45/2018/TT-BCT, effective from January 1, 2019, the forecast of load demand for planning the next month's operation is prescribed as follows:
- The power system and electricity market operation unit is responsible for forecasting the load demand to serve the planning of the next month's operation according to the method stipulated in the regulations on the transmission power system issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The forecast data for the load demand used for planning next month's operation includes:
+ The total national power system load demand and the load demand for each region: North, Central, and South for the entire month as well as each week within the month;
+ Load demand charts for typical days in the North, Central, South regions, and the entire national power system for the weeks within the month.
- Before the 20th of each month, the wholesale electricity purchasing unit is responsible for forecasting the load demand for each trading cycle of the next month and sending it to the power system and electricity market operation unit to aid in planning the next month's operation.
The above regulations pertain to the forecast of load demand for planning the next month's operation.
