Are Sculptural Works Protected by Copyright?

I am an architecture student, and I have recently completed a sculpture. My teacher praised it as unique and unusual. Now, can I seek copyright protection for it?

According to Point d, Clause 5, Article 1 of the amended Intellectual Property Law 2009, visual art and applied art works are among the works protected by copyright;

And in Clause 1, Article 13 of Decree 22/2018/ND-CP, it is stipulated:

The visual art works specified at Point g, Clause 1, Article 14 of the Intellectual Property Law are works expressed through lines, colors, shapes, composition such as: painting, graphic art, sculpture, installation art, and other similar forms of expression that exist as unique originals. Specifically, graphic works can be reproduced up to the 50th copy, numbered and signed by the author.

Thus, your sculpture is protected by copyright under the current regulations.

Sincerely!
