Allowing Guests to Strip Dance in Bar: Is It Punishable?

The other day, I went to drink beer at Bui Vien. My friend mentioned that bars which allow customers to strip dance would not be fined. Is this correct?

According to Clauses 6 and 7, Article 19 of Decree 158/2013/ND-CP regulating violations of prohibited regulations regarding cultural activities and the public cultural service business as follows:

- A fine ranging from VND 25,000,000 to VND 30,000,000 shall be imposed for organizing strip dancing for customers or other depraved activities at discotheques, places that organize cultural activities, other public cultural service businesses, dining and drinking establishments, karaoke bars.

- Additional penalty: Revocation of the discotheque or karaoke business license for a period ranging from 12 months to 24 months for violations specified in Clauses 5 and 6 of this Article.

Thus, in case a bar allows customers to strip dance, it can be fined up to VND 30 million according to current regulations. This penalty applies to individuals; for organizations in violation, the maximum fine is VND 60 million (Clause 2, Article 2 of Decree 28/2017/ND-CP).

Respectfully!
