Will The Collected Household Registration Books Be Canceled?
At Clause 2, Clause 3 Article 26 of Circular 55/2021/TT-BCA, it is stipulated:
- When citizens carry out the procedures for permanent residence registration, adjustment of information in the Residence Database, family separation, deletion of permanent residence registration, temporary residence registration, temporary residence extension, deletion of temporary residence registration, leading to changes in the information in the Household Registration Book, Temporary Residence Book, the residence registration authority is responsible for collecting the issued Household Registration Book, Temporary Residence Book, adjusting, updating the information in the Residence Database according to the Law on Residence, and not issuing new, reissuing the Household Registration Book, Temporary Residence Book.
- The residence registration authority is responsible for transferring the collected Household Registration Book along with the residence registration dossier to the residence dossier archive and preserving, storing the collected Temporary Residence Book according to regulations.
=> Thus, according to the above provisions, the residence registration authority will carry out the preservation of the household registration book when collecting the household registration book.
