Which Agency Regulates the Shape and Size of Citizen Identification Cards?

Based on Article 18 of the 2014 Law on Citizen Identification, it is stipulated:

- The Citizen Identification Card includes the following information:

+ The front side of the card contains the national emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the words "Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Independence - Freedom - Happiness"; the words “Citizen Identification”; photo, citizen identification card number, surname, middle name, and given name, date, month, year of birth, gender, nationality, place of origin, place of permanent residence; expiration date;

+ The back side of the card contains an information storage component that is encrypted; fingerprint, distinctive features of the person issued the card; date, month, year of card issuance; surname, middle name, and given name, title, signature of the person issuing the card and a stamp with the national emblem of the issuing agency.

- The Minister of Public Security shall stipulate specific regulations on the format, additional languages, shape, size, and material of the Citizen Identification Card.
