What kind of contract should an individual sign when hiring a programmer?
Article 513 of the 2015 Civil Code stipulates:
A service contract is an agreement between parties whereby the service provider performs work for the service user, and the service user must pay the service fee to the service provider.
According to Article 513 of this Code, the subject of the service contract is work that can be performed, does not violate prohibitions of the law, and is not contrary to social ethics.
Thus, if one wishes to hire a freelancer to write an app for a startup that has not yet established a company, the parties can enter into a service contract. The parties can agree on the work that can be performed, as long as such work does not violate prohibitions of the law and is not contrary to social ethics.
Please refer to this matter from Articles 513 to 521 of the 2015 Civil Code.
Respectfully!
