Validity Period of Shore Leave Permit for Seafarers

In Clause 2, Article 23 of Decree 77/2017/ND-CP on management and protection of order and security at port border gates, it is stipulated:

Usage value of Shore Leave Permit for crew members

- Valid only for one voyage;

+ For foreign crew members on regular-route ships and vessels operating in waters outside the port border gate waters, upon the request of the captain, the Border Guard at the port border gate allows crew members to use the Shore Leave Permit for multiple voyages, with the duration not exceeding 01 month from the date of issuance;

- The personnel responsible for procedures must collect expired Shore Leave Permits from crew members and submit them to the Border Guard at the port border gate.

=> Thus, according to the above regulations, the Shore Leave Permit for crew members is only valid for one voyage.
