Responsibility for Birth Registration in Cases of Late Birth Registration
According to Clause 1, Article 15 of the Civil Status Law 2014, the responsibility for birth registration is stipulated as follows:
Within 60 days from the date of birth, the father or mother is responsible for registering the birth of the child; in case the father or mother cannot register the birth for the child, the grandfather or grandmother or another relative, individual, or organization currently caring for the child is responsible for registering the birth of the child.
Clause 1, Article 27 of Decree 110/2013/ND-CP stipulates the act of violating birth registration regulations as follows:
Warning for individuals responsible for registering a child's birth but failing to do so within the stipulated time frame.
Based on the aforementioned regulations, the law stipulates that each individual has the right to birth registration upon birth.
Therefore, you both, as parents, have the responsibility to complete the birth registration procedures for your child within 60 days from the date of birth.
In case of late registration, you will be subject to a warning penalty.
Sincerely!
