Responsibilities of the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security in Immigration Control

According to Article 7 of Circular 74/2020/TT-BCA (effective from August 15, 2020) regulating the responsibilities of the Department of Immigration Management, Ministry of Public Security in the control of entry and exit as follows:

- Presiding over and advising the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security to direct the implementation of entry and exit control at border gates managed by the Ministry of Public Security.

- Inspecting and guiding entry and exit control units under the Provincial and Municipal Police Departments directly under the Central Government in implementing entry and exit control at border gates managed by the provincial and municipal police departments directly under the Central Government.

- Coordinating with the Border Gate Department, Command of the Border Guard, and Ministry of National Defense to guide the Border Guard of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government in implementing entry and exit control for Vietnamese citizens at border gates managed by the Ministry of National Defense.
