Missing One Joint of the Little Finger: Eligibility for Military Service?

I would like to ask, I have lost a joint of the little finger on my right hand; am I eligible for military service? Some people say no; could the admin please provide guidance?

Section 3 Article 4 of Circular 148/2018/TT-BQP stipulates that only citizens with health classification types 1, 2, or 3 are selected for military service according to health classification standards specified in Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP.

Based on the provisions of Section 4, Article 9 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, health classification is determined based on the scores given for 8 indicators recorded on the military service health assessment form. To be specific:

- Type 1: All 8 indicators score 1 point;- Type 2: At least 1 indicator scores 2 points;- Type 3: At least 1 indicator scores 3 points;- Type 4: At least 1 indicator scores 4 points;- Type 5: At least 1 indicator scores 5 points;- Type 6: At least 1 indicator scores 6 points.

Losing fingers or toes, which affects a citizen's health condition rendering them unqualified for military service, is specified at item number 107, Section II, Appendix 1 issued attached to Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP. Specifically:

Losing 1 segment:

Of the thumb => 4 points;Of the index finger of the right hand => 4 points.

Thus, currently, losing 01 segment of the left thumb or the index finger of the right hand is the condition disqualifying one from military service. Therefore, if you meet other conditions for selection, you are still eligible to participate in military service.

Sincerely!
