Is Alimony Required to be in the Form of Money?
Based on Clause 24, Article 3 of the 2014 Law on Marriage and Family, it is stipulated:
Alimony is the obligation of a person to contribute money or other assets to meet the essential needs of a person not living with them but having a marital, blood, or nurturing relationship in cases where that person is a minor, an adult incapable of working, and without assets to self-sustain, or a person in hardship or destitution as prescribed in this Law.
Therefore, alimony can be contributed in the form of money or other assets, not necessarily in money. The choice between money or assets is based on mutual agreement between the parties.
