Incorrect place of birth recorded on the birth certificate, can the procedure for reissue be carried out?

According to Clause 1, Article 24 of Decree 123/2015/ND-CP guiding the Law on Civil Status, it is stipulated:

Article 24. Conditions for re-registration of birth, marriage, and death

1. Birth, marriage, and death registrations that were registered at a competent authority of Vietnam before January 01, 2016, but both the Civil Status Register and the original civil status documents have been lost, can be re-registered.

=> Thus, the re-registration of birth is only applicable to cases where the birth was registered at a competent authority of Vietnam before January 01, 2016, but the Civil Status Register and the original civil status documents have been lost. In your case, the error in recording the place of birth in the birth certificate is not subject to re-issuance.
