How many years until a Citizen Identification Card must be renewed?
Article 21 of the 2014 Law on Citizen Identification stipulates the age for renewing citizen identification cards as follows:
- Citizen identification cards must be renewed when citizens reach the age of 25, 40, and 60.
- In cases where the citizen identification card is issued, renewed, or reissued within 2 years before the stipulated ages in Clause 1 of this Article, it will remain valid until the next age for renewal.
According to this regulation, the renewal of citizen identification cards will be carried out at the ages of 25, 40, and 60.
=> Therefore, citizens at the aforementioned ages will proceed to renew their citizen identification cards.
