How Long Does It Take to Receive the Chip-Based Citizen Identity Card (CCCD)?
According to Article 25 of the Law on Citizen Identification 2014, the regulation is as follows:
From the date of receiving the complete application as prescribed in this Law, the citizen identification authority must issue, renew, or reissue the citizen identification card with a chip for citizens within the following time limits:
- In cities and district-level towns, no more than 7 working days;
- In mountainous highland districts, border areas, and islands, no more than 20 working days;
- In other areas, no more than 15 working days.
However, in reality, the number of citizens applying for chip-embedded CCCD cards is very large, so the time to issue the chip-embedded CCCD cards may be extended. If it exceeds the prescribed number of days mentioned above, you can contact the citizen identification authority for detailed support.
Sincerely!
