How long after moving to a new residence must one complete the procedure for changing permanent residence registration?
Section 3 of Article 1 of the Amended Residence Law of 2013 stipulates as follows:
- Persons who have registered for permanent residence and change their legal residence must, within twelve months from the date of moving to the new legal residence, complete the procedures for changing their place of permanent residence registration if they meet the conditions for permanent residence registration.
Thus, within twelve months from the date of moving to the new legal residence and meeting the conditions for permanent residence registration, you must complete the procedures for changing your permanent residence registration.
Point a, Section 1, Article 8 of Decree 167/2013/ND-CP stipulates a fine ranging from VND 100,000 to VND 300,000 for any of the following acts:
- Individuals or household heads failing to comply with the regulations on permanent residence registration, temporary residence registration, or adjustments to changes in household registration books or temporary residence books;
Therefore, if you do not complete the procedures for changing your permanent residence registration, you will be fined between VND 100,000 and VND 300,000.
Respectfully!
