How long after a divorce can one obtain a single status certificate?
Clause 14, Article 3 of the 2014 Law on Marriage and Family stipulates:
Divorce is the termination of the marital relationship as determined by a legally effective judgment or decision of the Court.
And according to Clause 2, Article 22 of Decree 123/2015/ND-CP:
In cases where the person requesting confirmation of marital status was previously married but is now divorced, or if the spouse has died, they must present or submit valid documents to prove it; if it falls under the case specified in Clause 2, Article 37 of this Decree, an equivalent copy of the civil status extract must be submitted.
Thus, according to this regulation, the issuance of a certificate of single status for you is carried out from the time the divorce judgment/decision of the Court takes legal effect.
Respectfully!
