How are Traffic Police Vehicles Regulated?
Clause 2 Article 11 Circular 65/2020/TT-BCA (effective from August 05, 2020) stipulates about the traffic means of Traffic Police, specifically:
Traffic means: automobiles, patrol motorcycles, control motorcycles, specialized vehicles, bicycles
a) Patrol, control automobiles and motorcycles (white paint), specialized vehicles, with bilingual Traffic Police inscriptions (Vietnamese and English), equipped with police lights, flags, and priority signal sirens according to legal regulations;
b) Both sides of patrol, control automobiles should have reflective blue paint lines, with the inscription "TRAFFIC POLICE" in white (reflective material), letter size 10cm x 10cm, letter stroke 03cm, balanced on both sides of the car; on both front doors, there should be the inscription “TRAFFIC POLICE” in blue (reflective material), letter size up to two-thirds of the size of the "TRAFFIC POLICE" inscription and the Traffic Police insignia in the middle of the words “TRAFFIC” and “POLICE”. Depending on the type of vehicle, the spacing between letters and words should be arranged to be balanced and appropriate;
c) On both sides of the fuel tank or both sides of the patrol motorcycle's body or on both sides of the storage compartment, there should be the inscription "C.S.G.T" in blue (reflective material), below that, the inscription “TRAFFIC POLICE” in blue (reflective material), with the letter size up to two-thirds of the size of the "C.S.G.T" inscription. Depending on the type of vehicle, the size of the letters and the spacing between letters should be arranged to be balanced and appropriate;
d) Priority signal sirens are to be used according to legal regulations. Priority signal lights should be used continuously in the following cases: Mobile patrol and control; patrol and control during the evening, night, or daytime under foggy weather conditions, adverse weather conditions that limit visibility.
