Persons suffering from terminal illnesses are those currently suffering from one of the following diseases: Late-stage cancer, paralysis, severe drug-resistant tuberculosis, ascitic cirrhosis, heart failure grade III or higher, kidney failure grade IV or higher, HIV that has turned into AIDS with opportunistic infections, unable to self-serve, with a poor prognosis, high risk of death, or suffering from one of the other diseases concluded by the Medical Assessment Council, provincial or military zone hospital as a terminal illness, life-threatening.
Therefore, the case of your father suffering from stomach cancer is one of the terminal illnesses. Consequently, during the time of serving the decision, he will be exempt from the remaining detoxification period.
