Does the Citizen Identity Card include information in English?
At Clause 5, Article 3 of Circular 06/2021/TT-BCA stipulating the form of the Citizen Identification card issued by the Ministry of Public Security, there are regulations on the shape, dimensions, content, specifications, other languages, and materials of the Citizen Identification card as follows:
Other language on the Citizen Identification card is English, which is a condition for Vietnamese citizens to use the Citizen Identification card instead of a passport when Vietnam signs treaties or international agreements allowing citizens of the signatory countries to use the Citizen Identification card instead of a passport within each other's territories.
=> Thus, according to the above regulation, the Citizen Identification card includes not only Vietnamese language but also English.
