Does legal personality of natural person terminate when that person is sentenced to life imprisonment in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 16 of the 2015 Civil Code, legal personality of natural persons is as follows:

1. The legal personality of a natural person is his/her capability to have civil rights and civil obligations.

2. All individuals shall have the same legal personality.

3. The legal personality of a natural person commences at birth and terminates at death.

Thus, comparing the above provisions in Vietnam, it can be seen that legal personality of a natural person commences at birth and terminates at death. Therefore, for individuals sentenced to life imprisonment, their legal personality will not be terminated.
