Declaration of Temporary Absence: Subject to Military Service Examination?
According to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 4 of the Military Service Law 2015:
- Citizens within the age for military service, regardless of ethnicity, social class, beliefs, religion, educational level, occupation, or place of residence, must perform military service as stipulated by this Law.
Article 11 of the Residence Law 2020 stipulates:
Article 11. Place of residence of citizens
The place of residence of citizens includes both permanent residence and temporary residence.
In cases where the permanent or temporary residence cannot be determined, the place of residence of citizens shall be the current living place as determined according to Clause 1, Article 19 of this Law.
=> Therefore, even if you have reported temporary absence from the place where you previously registered for permanent residence, the local authority at the place where you have permanent residence still has the right to call you for military service examination.
In cases where both your temporary residence and permanent residence call for a military service examination, you only need to undergo the examination at one place and provide the documentation to the other place, confirming that you have already undergone the examination.
Respectfully.
