Application for Vietnamese Citizenship: Are Income Documents Required?

Based on Clause 1 Article 20 of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality 2008, it is stipulated as follows:

1. The dossier for applying for Vietnamese nationality includes the following documents:

a) Application for Vietnamese nationality;

b) Copy of Birth Certificate, Passport, or other valid substitute documents;

c) Curriculum vitae;

d) Judicial record issued by the competent authority of Vietnam for the period the applicant for Vietnamese nationality resided in Vietnam, and a judicial record issued by the competent authority of the foreign country for the period the applicant for Vietnamese nationality resided abroad. The judicial record must have been issued no more than 90 days prior to the date of submission;

e) Documents proving Vietnamese language proficiency;

f) Documents proving residence and permanent residence duration in Vietnam;

g) Documents demonstrating assurance of a livelihood in Vietnam.

Thus, it can be seen that one of the documents required for obtaining Vietnamese nationality is: Documents demonstrating assurance of a livelihood in Vietnam. Therefore, if you have any documents proving income sources and livelihood assurance, that would be very beneficial.
