Age Requirement for Sperm Donation

Article 6 of the 2006 Law on Donation, Removal, Transplantation of Human Tissues and Organs and Donation, Removal of Cadavers stipulates the right to donate and receive sperm, oocytes, and embryos in artificial insemination as follows:

- Males aged twenty years and above, and females aged eighteen years and above, with full civil legal capacity, have the right to donate and receive sperm, oocytes, and embryos in artificial insemination according to the provisions of the law.

- The donation and receipt of sperm, oocytes, and embryos in artificial insemination shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Government of Vietnam.

Thus, males aged 20 years and above, with full civil legal capacity, have the right to donate sperm.
