Acute Sinusitis Patients Ineligible for Military Service?
Pursuant to Appendix 1 on the Classification of Health According to Physical Fitness and Diseases issued with Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, it is stipulated as follows:
Facial Sinuses: Acute sinusitis: Score 4
According to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 9 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, the classification of the health of citizens participating in military service health examinations is based on the scores assigned to the 8 criteria listed on the military service health assessment form. Specifically:
- Type 1: All 8 criteria score 1;
- Type 2: At least one criterion scores 2;
- Type 3: At least one criterion scores 3;
- Type 4: At least one criterion scores 4;
- Type 5: At least one criterion scores 5;
- Type 6: At least one criterion scores 6.
Therefore, in the case of acute sinusitis, the health classification will be Type 4.
And Point a, Clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 148/2018/TT-BQP stipulates the health standards for military recruitment as follows:
Select citizens with health classifications of Type 1, 2, or 3 according to the provisions of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP dated June 30, 2016, of the Minister of Health - Minister of National Defense on the health examination for military service implementation.
Thus, from the above regulations, the case of acute sinusitis does not meet the health conditions for participation in military service (Other conditions have not been considered).
Respectfully!
