Actions That Police Stations and Police Posts Are Prohibited from Doing When Receiving Crime Reports
According to the provisions of Article 11 of Circular 126/2020/TT-BCA (Effective from January 15, 2021), the regulations are as follows:
6 actions that Police Stations and Police Posts are prohibited from doing when receiving crime reports and denunciations include:
Activities that the law prescribes officials or officers, soldiers of the People's armed forces are not allowed to do;
Receiving applications, letters, and resolving citizen affairs at private residences or any place outside the Police headquarters, except in urgent cases when citizens come to report the crime; and must immediately report it to the direct leadership;
Harassing or seeking personal benefits in any form from litigants, their relatives, and related agencies, organizations, or individuals;
Providing unlawful advice to the accused, their relatives, or other participants in the proceedings;
Unlawfully intervening in the resolution of cases, incidents, or exploiting their influence to affect the person responsible for resolving the case or incident;
Taking case files and documents out of the agency not for assigned duties or without the consent of an authorized person.
