What are the regulations on the preservation of bombs, mines, and explosives in Vietnam?
Under Article 53 of the Technical Procedures for Investigation, Survey, and Clearance of Bombs, Mines, and Explosives in Vietnam issued together with Circular 121/2021/TT-BQP (Effective from November 5, 2021), the preservation of bombs, mines, and explosives in Vietnam is specified as follows:
The preservation of collected bombs, mines, and explosives during the survey and clearance of bombs, mines, and explosives in Vietnam shall comply with the National Technical Regulations on Investigation, Survey, and Clearance of Bombs, Mines, and Explosives in Vietnam. The bomb, mine, and explosive storage must:
1. Be placed away from populated areas, military positions, warehouses, and other structures. Depending on the quantity and type of collected bombs, mines, and explosives, proper arrangements shall be made to ensure safety.
2. Be placed outside the impact range of any potential explosive waves resulting from UXO being detonated.
3. Follow the safety procedures under QCVN 01:2019/BCT - National Technical Regulations on Safety in Transport, Storage, Use, and Disposal of Industrial Explosives promulgated with Circular No. 32/2019/BCT dated November 21, 2019, of the Minister of Industry and Trade, and the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.
4. Having strict guards and protection in accordance with regulations.
