How to prevent test voltage to ensure electrical safety in Vietnam?
Based on Section 102 of the National Technical Regulation on Electrical Safety of Vietnam(Issued together with Circular 39/2020/TT-BCT in 2020, effective June 1, 2021):
Preventing Test Voltage
- To prevent the test voltage from affecting the operating voltage, the distance between two parts with such voltages must be ensured as follows:
Rated voltage of equipment (kV) | Up to | |||
10 | 15 | 20 | 35 | |
Minimum distance (m) | 0.15 | 0.20 | 0.25 | 0.50 |
- When using mobile test vehicles or fixed test machines, the following conditions must be adhered to:
+ The test machine must be divided into two distinct sections, one containing low-voltage equipment with standing space for the operator, and the other containing all high-voltage equipment and conductors.
+ High-voltage electrical equipment must be carefully fenced to prevent people from coming near.
+ Doors of high-voltage electrical equipment must have interlocks with electrical contacts to cut off high voltage when the door is opened and must have indicator lights when these parts are live.
+ All low-voltage electrical equipment must be arranged to facilitate convenient operation and inspection.
Sincerely!
