Determining the Area for Underwater Mine and Explosive Ordnance Clearance According to Regulations
Article 32
Technical procedure for investigation, survey, and clearance of explosive mines promulgated together with Circular 121/2021/TT-BQP (Effective from November 5, 2021) stipulates the determination of underwater explosive mine clearance areas as follows:
Based on the marked landmarks during the survey or the handed-over coordinates, determine the area required for underwater bomb and mine clearance; draw a diagram of the area.
Install reinforced concrete stakes to mark onshore and deploy buoys, anchors (turtles) for positioning and marking underwater at necessary positions to limit the area that will be cleared of mines (Types of buoys, anchors (turtles) for positioning and marking the area are only applicable to mine clearance areas with a minimum water depth of 3 meters and a minimum area width of 50 meters).
