Conditions for Renewal of the Decision on Recognition of Circulated Fertilizers in Vietnam from January 1, 2020

On November 19, 2018, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Term XIV, during its 6th session, passed the Law on Crop Production No. 31/2018/QH14 (referred to as the 2018 Crop Production Law).

The 2018 Crop Production Law stipulates activities related to crop production; the rights and obligations of organizations and individuals engaged in crop production; and state management of crop production.

According to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 37 of the 2018 Crop Production Law (effective from January 1, 2020), the decision to recognize fertilizers for circulation in Vietnam can be extended when the following conditions are met:

- When organizations or individuals have a request;

- Meet quality criteria according to national technical standards on fertilizer quality;

- Report on the production, export, import, and utilization situation of the fertilizer as prescribed.
