Cases of Revocation of the Decision to Recognize the Circulation of Fertilizers in Vietnam from January 1, 2020
On November 19, 2018, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, term XIV, at its 6th session, passed the Law on Crop Production No. 31/2018/QH14 (referred to as the Law on Crop Production 2018).
The Law on Crop Production 2018 provides regulations on crop production activities; the rights and obligations of organizations and individuals engaged in crop production; and state management on crop production.
According to the regulations in Clause 1, Article 38 of the Law on Crop Production 2018 (effective from January 1, 2020), a decision recognizing the circulation of fertilizers in Vietnam shall be revoked in the following cases:
- There is new scientific evidence indicating that the fertilizer poses a high risk of adverse effects on human health and the environment;
- It is discovered that fake documents were used or the information provided in the documents does not match the fertilizer that was recognized for circulation.
