Pursuant to Clause 2 and 3, Article 4 of the Circular 30/2022/TT-BLĐTBXH stipulating standards of training and expertise to become a main occupational safety technician in Vietnam as follows:

2. Standards of training and retraining qualifications:
a) Possessing a university degree or higher in technical disciplines relevant to the scope of inspection;
b) Having a certificate of training for professional titles of public employees specialized in occupational safety technical inspection or a certificate of occupational safety technical inspection inspector.
3. Standards of professional competence:
a) Having the capacity to assume the prime responsibility for organizing and implementing professional activities of technical inspection of occupational safety and proposing solutions to improve the efficiency of implementing activities in the field of inspection;
b) Having the capacity to organize and coordinate with other relevant organizations and individuals in the course of performing the task of technical inspection of occupational safety;
c) Having the ability to provide professional guidance in the field of technical inspection of occupational safety in accordance with the specialized training;
d) Having chaired 01 ministerial- or provincial-level science and technology task at or higher level related to the field of technical inspection of occupational safety or participated in at least 02 science and technology tasks of the same level. Ministries and provincial levels are accepted at the level of passing or higher related to the field of inspection;
dd) Having the ability to apply information technology in performing the tasks of the main occupational safety technician and being able to use foreign languages in a number of specific assigned tasks.
Thus, in order to become a main occupational safety technician, it is necessary to meet the following training and professional qualifications:
+) Possessing a university degree or higher in technical specialties suitable to the scope of inspection;
+) Possessing a certificate of training for professional titles of public employees specialized in occupational safety inspection or a certificate of occupational safety technical inspection inspector.
+) Capable of taking the lead in organizing and implementing professional activities of technical inspection of occupational safety and proposing solutions to improve the efficiency of implementing activities in the field of inspection;
a) Capable of organizing and coordinating with other relevant organizations and individuals in the course of performing their duties on technical inspection of occupational safety;
+) Capable of providing professional guidance in the field of technical inspection of occupational safety in accordance with the specialized training;
a) Having chaired 01 ministerial- or provincial-level science and technology task at or higher level related to the field of technical inspection of occupational safety or participated in at least 02 science and technology tasks of the highest level. Ministries and provincial levels are accepted at the level of passing or higher related to the field of inspection;
+) Having the ability to apply information technology in performing the tasks of the main occupational safety technician and capable of using foreign languages in a number of specific assigned tasks.
What is the salary coefficient of the main occupational safety technician in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 9 of the Circular 30/2022/TT-BLĐTBXH stipulating salary coefficient of the main occupational safety technician in Vietnam as follows:
Salary arrangement
1. The professional titles of public employees specialized in technical inspection of occupational safety are entitled to the application of professional and professional salary tables for cadres and public employees in non-business units of the State (Table 3). issued together with the Government's Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 providing for the salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and the armed forces, as follows:
a) Occupational title Chief inspector of occupational safety and health may apply the salary coefficient of a class A2 public employee in group 1 (from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78);
b) Occupational title Technical inspector of occupational safety may apply the salary coefficient of the A1 public employee (from the salary coefficient of 2.34 to the salary coefficient of 4.98);
c) Occupational title Technical inspection technician of occupational safety may apply the salary coefficient of a grade B public employee (from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06).
2. Salary arrangement at the end of the probationary period and appointed to a professional title:
a) If you have a doctorate degree, you will be ranked at level 3, with a salary coefficient of 3.00 of the professional title Technical inspector of occupational safety, code: V.09.03.02;
b) If you have a master's degree, you will be ranked at level 2, salary coefficient 2.67 of the professional title Technical inspector of occupational safety, code: V.09.03.02;
c) If you have a college degree, you will be ranked at level 2, salary coefficient 2.06 of the professional title Technical inspection technician for occupational safety, code: V.09.03.03.
3. The change of salary arrangement for public employees from the professional title currently held to the professional title of public employee specialized in technical inspection of occupational safety is specified in this Circular according to the guidance in Clause 2, Section II, Circular No. 02/2007/TT-BNV dated May 25, 2007 of the Ministry of Home Affairs guiding salary grading when raising ranks, changing ranks, changing types of civil servants and public employees.
Therefore, the salary coefficient of the Chief Inspector of Occupational Safety and Health shall be applied to the salary coefficient of the Class A2 public employees in group 1: from the salary coefficient 4.40 to the salary coefficient 6.78.

+ Complying with the rights and obligations of public employees;
+ Other provisions of law related to the field of technical inspection of occupational safety in the course of professional performance.
