What agencies do foreign organizations in Vietnam include?
Based on the provisions of Clause 3, Article 2 of Decree 152/2020/ND-CP (effective from February 15, 2021):
Foreign organizations in Vietnam are foreign agencies and organizations authorized by competent authorities of Vietnam to operate within the territory of Vietnam, including:
- Diplomatic representative agencies, foreign consular offices, representative agencies of international organizations under the United Nations system, regional and sub-regional organizations;
- Permanent offices of foreign news, press, radio, and television agencies;
- International organizations, inter-governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations under foreign governments;
- Foreign non-governmental organizations registered with authorities of Vietnam as prescribed by law;
- Representative offices in Vietnam of foreign organizations operating in the fields of: economy, trade, finance, banking, insurance, science-technology, culture, education, healthcare, foreign legal consultancy.
Thus, according to this regulation, there are 5 groups identified as foreign organizations in Vietnam.
