Seniority Allowance Beyond the Salary Scale for Individuals Working in Especially Difficult Areas: What Is the Maximum Number of Years?

Article 4 of Decree 76/2019/ND-CP stipulates:

The subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree are entitled to an attraction allowance equivalent to 70% of their current salary (in accordance with the salary scale stipulated by the competent authorities of the Communist Party and the State), in addition to the leadership position allowance and seniority allowance beyond the scale (if any), applicable for the actual working time in areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, not exceeding 05 years (60 months).

Thus, the seniority allowance beyond the scale (if any) applies to the actual working time in areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions for no more than 05 years (60 months).

Therefore, in your case, the calculation of allowances based on a period of 5 years is in accordance with the above provisions.
