Responsibilities of Vietnamese Diplomatic Missions Abroad Regarding Labor Export
According to Article 71 of the Law on Vietnamese Laborers Working Abroad Under Contract 2020 (Effective from January 01, 2022) stipulates the responsibilities of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad as follows:
Protect the legal rights and interests of Vietnamese laborers working abroad under contract; handle violations committed by Vietnamese laborers working abroad under contract in accordance with regulations on administrative violation handling.
Coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in researching and understanding the market, policies, and laws of the host country regarding foreign laborers; provide information and guide service enterprises in accessing the market.
Support the state management agency regarding Vietnamese laborers working abroad under contract in appraising the conditions for labor reception and implementing the contract.
Support, guide, and cooperate with agencies, enterprises, public service providers, organizations, and individuals investing abroad and the host country’s agencies and organizations in managing and resolving arising issues related to laborers, repatriating laborers.
Assist laborers in accessing, contributing to, performing procedures, and receiving support from the Overseas Employment Support Fund during their working period abroad.
