Regulations on Shift Work and the Organization of Shift Work
Article 63 of Decree 145/2020/ND-CP on Work Shifts and Shift Work Organization as follows:
A work shift is the period during which an employee works from the time they begin their duties until they end and hand over their duties to another person, including working time and break time.
Shift work organization involves assigning at least 02 persons or 02 groups of persons to take turns working in the same position within a 24-hour period (one continuous day).
Continuous shift work that allows for break time to be counted as work time as stipulated in Clause 1 of Article 109 of the Labor Code is the case of shift work organization stipulated in Clause 2 of this Article when the work shift meets the following conditions:
a) The employee works in the shift for 06 hours or more;
b) The transition time between two consecutive work shifts does not exceed 45 minutes.
