Provision of a Copy of the Citizen Identity Card to a Company: Are There Any Implications?

Section 2, Article 7 of Decree 03/2014/ND-CP stipulates that the labor recruitment application dossier of employees includes the following documents:

- Labor recruitment application form as prescribed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs;

- Copies of diplomas and certificates proving technical and professional qualifications; foreign language proficiency, and computer skills as required for the position applied for;

- Health certificate as prescribed by the Ministry of Health;

- Other necessary documents as prescribed by law.

In reality, depending on the conditions and the nature of the job being applied for, each enterprise will require the submission of different documents. Hence, the company's request for you to submit a copy of your ID and account number does not provide a basis to assert that they will engage in unlawful activities.

Furthermore, if you are not the person who borrowed money, you are not responsible for repaying the debt. Using your information to execute a loan is an unlawful act, and the individual who undertakes such actions will bear legal responsibility.
