Is It Permissible to Hire Individuals Under 18 Years of Age for Hotel Room Cleaning?

Based on Clause 2, Article 147 of the Labor Code 2019, it is stipulated that employing workers from 15 years old to under 18 years old in the following places is prohibited:

- Underwater, underground, in caves, in tunnels;

- Construction sites;

- Livestock slaughterhouses;

- Casinos, bars, dance halls, karaoke rooms, hotels, guest houses, sauna establishments, massage establishments; lottery business points, electronic game services;

- Other workplaces that harm the physical, intellectual, or moral development of minors.

Thus, according to the above-mentioned regulations, the law strictly prohibits employing workers under 18 years old in hotels and guest houses. Therefore, in this case, you are not allowed to hire individuals under 18 years old to work.
