Is it Permissible to Carry Over Annual Leave to the Next Year?
According to Article 113 of the Labor Code 2019 on annual leave provisions as follows:
...
- In cases of job termination or job loss where annual leave or the number of annual leave days has not been fully taken, the employer shall pay the employee wages for the days not taken.
- The employer is responsible for scheduling the annual leave after consulting with the employees and must inform the employees in advance. Employees can agree with the employer to take annual leave in segments or accumulate leave to a maximum of 3 years at a time.
Thus, in cases where an employee wishes to take annual leave in segments or accumulate leave for up to 3 years at a time, they can negotiate with the company. If the company agrees, the employee can carry over the leave to subsequent years. Therefore, you should contact the company for support. Sincerely!
