Is it mandatory for domestic helpers to sign a written contract?
Pursuant to Clause 1a, Clause 3a Article 29 of Decree 28/2020/ND-CP stipulates as follows:
- Warning penalties for employers who commit one of the following acts:
+ Not signing a written labor contract with household help.
- Measures to remedy the consequences
+ Employers are required to sign a written labor contract with household help when violating point a, Clause 1 of this Article.
Thus, the act of not signing a written contract with household help is against the law and will result in a warning penalty and the employer is required to sign a written contract for the household help.
