How old does a child need to be for the parent to receive additional Covid-19 support money?
As stipulated in Article 14 of Decision 23/2021/QD-TTg:
- Support levels:
- Pregnant workers receive an additional 1,000,000 VND/person; workers who are raising biological children, adopted children, or providing substitute care for children under 6 years old receive an additional 1,000,000 VND/child under 6 years old, and support is provided to only one person, either the mother, father, or substitute caregiver.
=> Accordingly, besides the support for unpaid leave due to the Covid-19 pandemic for themselves, workers who are raising young children or providing substitute care for children under 6 years old will also receive an additional payment of 1,000,000 VND per child.
Note: The father or mother must participate in compulsory social insurance in the month immediately preceding the unpaid leave. One child is only determined to support one worker (either the father or mother).
