How Are IT Officers with a College Degree Categorized in Terms of Salary?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 3 of the 2014 Vocational Education Law, the College level is a training program of the Vocational Education level.
With a College degree in Information Technology, you will qualify for the position of a public employee in Information Technology Rank IV: Including public employee titles: System Administrator Rank IV, Software Developer Rank IV.
Pursuant to Point a, Clause 2, Article 10 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 17 of Circular No. 45/2017/TT-BTTTT, the training standards for these titles require having a graduation diploma in the right or related IT fields from intermediate level or higher.
Pursuant to Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, the salary scale for public employee grades is specified as follows:
- The professional title of Information Security Rank II (code V11.05.10), System Administrator Rank II (code V11.06.13), Information Technology Inspector Rank II (code V11.07.17), Software Developer Rank II (code V11.08.20) apply the salary coefficient for public employees of type A2, group 1 (A2.1) from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78;
- The professional title of Information Security Rank III (code V11.05.11), System Administrator Rank III (code V11.06.14), Information Technology Inspector Rank III (code V11.07.18), Software Developer Rank III (code V11.08.21) apply the salary coefficient for public employees of type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
- The professional title of System Administrator Rank IV (code V11.06.14), Software Developer Rank IV (code V11.08.22) apply the salary coefficient for public employees of type B, from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06.
Thus, with a College degree as a public employee System Administrator Rank IV (code V11.06.14), Software Developer Rank IV (code V11.08.22) you will apply the salary scale with a coefficient from 1.86 to 4.06.
