Holding both Vietnamese and foreign citizenships: Eligibility for Official Examinations?

Article 36 of the Law on Cadres, official 2008 stipulates:

Persons who meet the following conditions, regardless of ethnicity, gender, social component, belief, or religion, are eligible to register for official recruitment:

- Have only one nationality, which is Vietnamese nationality;

- Are 18 years of age or older;

- Have an application form for recruitment; have a clear background;

- Have appropriate diplomas and certificates;

- Have good political qualities and ethics;

- Are healthy enough to perform tasks;

- Meet other conditions as required by the recruitment position.

Thus, according to the above regulations, one of the conditions for taking the official examination is that the applicant has only one nationality, which is Vietnamese nationality. Therefore, in cases of having multiple nationalities, the conditions will not be met.
