Fire Safety Officer of the Company Participating in Drills: Is an Allowance Provided?
In Clause 4, Article 35 of Decree 79/2014/ND-CP, it is stipulated:
- Officers and members of the civil defense team participating in fire prevention and fighting training and drills are entitled to an allowance of 1.5 times the statutory pay rate per day; officers and members of the base-level and specialized fire prevention and fighting teams participating in training and drills are entitled to leave from work with full pay and other allowances (if any) and an additional allowance of 0.5 times their daily wage.
And in Clause 2 Article 8 of the Joint Circular 52/2015/TTLT-BLDTBXH-BCA-BTC, it is stipulated:
Allowances of 0.5 times the daily wage for each day participating in fire prevention and fighting training and drills.
The daily wage used for calculating the allowance is determined as follows:
- For units directly managing to implement salary policies as stipulated by the State, the daily wage is calculated based on the current salary coefficient, allowances (if any) in the salary scale and table issued in conjunction with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004, of the Government of Vietnam on salary policies for officials and public employees and armed forces, multiplied by the statutory pay rate and divided by 22 days;
- For units directly managing to implement salary policies decided by the employer, the daily wage is the current wage of the employee as stipulated by labor law on wages.
=> Thus, according to the aforementioned regulations, the chief, deputy chief, and base-level members of the company's fire prevention and fighting team participating in drills will be entitled to full pay and an additional allowance of 0.5 times the daily wage (current salary or statutory pay rate depending on the specific subject).
Sincerely.
