Duties of Trade Union Officials

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 5 of the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, promulgated with Decision 174/QD-TLD in 2020, the duties of trade union officials include:

- Closely liaising with union members and workers; listening to the opinions and proposals of union members and workers to resolve them or promptly report and reflect them to the competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

- Propagating and mobilizing union members and workers to fulfill their civic duties; complying with the directives and resolutions of the Communist Party, the policies and laws of the State, and the rules and regulations of their units; actively studying to improve their political, cultural, legal, professional, and technical knowledge.

- Setting an example in all aspects for union members and workers; actively protecting policies, and defending the Communist Party and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

- Representing workers in dialogues and collective bargaining according to the provisions of the law.

- Developing union membership and building a strong trade union organization.

- Fighting against manifestations of violations of the Party's line, directives, and resolutions, State policies and laws, and resolutions of trade unions at all levels.

- Performing other tasks as assigned by the trade union organization.
