Pursuant to Clauses 1 and 2, Article 17 of Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC, the responsibilities and duties of an intermediate customs inspector are as follows:
- Responsibilities
An intermediate customs inspector is an official responsible for performing professional and technical tasks within the customs sector, directly assigned by leadership to execute specific tasks within the scope of customs operations.
- Duties
a) Perform inspection and supervision of export and import goods, and vehicles exiting and entering the country;
b) Perform other tasks as assigned and directed by the unit's leadership.
2. Standards for Professional Competence and Skills of Intermediate Customs Inspectors
Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 17 of Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC, the standards for professional competence and skills of intermediate customs inspectors are as follows:
a) Understand the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party and the laws of the State regarding customs work; be familiar with administrative procedures and administrative reform programs of the Government of Vietnam and the sector;
b) Thoroughly grasp the customs processes within the scope of assigned duties;
c) Have the ability to acquire and grasp necessary skills for the job: skills in using support tools and technical means provided;
d) Proficiently use office equipment and other devices required for the job.
