Can Shipper Receive Unemployment Benefits Due to Pandemic?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 7 of Decision 15/2020/QD-TTg stipulating the conditions for individuals without labor contracts to receive assistance due to the pandemic as follows:
- Job loss and earning an income lower than the near-poverty threshold specified in Decision No. 59/2015/QD-TTg dated November 19, 2015, of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, during the period from April 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020;
- Legal residence in the locality;
- Engaged in non-agricultural sectors, performing one of the following jobs: street vending, petty trading without fixed locations; collecting garbage, scrap; loading and unloading, transporting goods; operating two-wheeled motor vehicles for passenger transport, pedicabs for passenger transport; mobile lottery ticket retailing; self-employed or working at household businesses in the fields of food and beverage, lodging, tourism, or healthcare services.
Based on the information you provided, you work as a Now shipper (goods delivery). If you meet the remaining two conditions, you will be eligible to receive pandemic assistance.
