Are karaoke bar employees without a contract eligible for Covid-19 support?
According to Clause 1, Article 7 of Decision 15/2020/QD-TTg, Workers without labor contracts who have lost their jobs are eligible for support when meeting all of the following conditions:
- They have lost their job and have an income lower than the near-poverty threshold specified in Decision No. 59/2015/QD-TTg dated November 19, 2015 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, during the period from April 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020;
- They are legally residing in the local area;
- They belong to the non-agricultural sector performing one of the following jobs: peddling, small-scale trading without a fixed location; garbage and scrap collecting; loading and unloading goods; riding motorcycles for passenger transport, pedicab passenger transport; mobile lottery ticket selling; self-employed or working at business households in the fields of food and beverage, accommodation, tourism, healthcare.
Thus, if you are an employee at a karaoke bar without a labor contract, you are not eligible to receive the Covid-19 support fund.
