15 Years Old: Old Enough to Work as a Domestic Helper?
At Article 88 of Decree 145/2020/ND-CP guiding the Labor Code on working conditions and labor relations, it is stipulated:
Domestic workers are workers as defined in Clause 1, Article 3 of the Labor Code who enter into written labor contracts to perform the tasks specified in Clause 1, Article 161 of the Labor Code.
And at Clause 1, Article 3 of the Labor Code 2019, it is stipulated:
- A worker is a person who works for an employer under an agreement, is paid a wage, and is subject to the management, administration, and supervision of the employer.
The minimum working age for a worker is 15 years old, except in cases stipulated in Section 1, Chapter XI of this Code.
=> Therefore, according to the aforementioned regulations, workers aged 15 and above are eligible to work as domestic helpers.
